RETURNS & GUARANTEE

Buy With Confidence

Changed your mind? No problem.

For standard, non-custom artwork, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery for any reason.

Artwork arrived damaged or broken? Contact us and we’ll help resolve the issue quickly.

Our goal is simple: you should feel confident ordering from Derich Gallery.

1. 30-Day Returns

Standard, non-custom artworks may be returned within 30 days of delivery, regardless of the reason.

Changed your mind?

Doesn’t fit your space?

Decided it’s simply not right for you?

That’s okay.

Contact us at info@derichgallery.com with your order number, and we’ll provide return instructions.

Returned artwork must be securely packaged and returned in the same condition in which it was received, except in cases of shipping damage, defects, or other issues that were already present upon delivery.

Once the artwork is returned to us and inspected, the eligible refund will be issued to the original payment method.

2. Change-of-Mind Returns for Artworks $900+

This section applies only to standard artworks priced at $900 or more.

Larger and higher-value artworks may require significantly more expensive packaging, oversized shipping, and additional handling.

If you return an artwork priced at $900 or more simply because you changed your mind or no longer want it, you are responsible for:

  • the original shipping cost from us to you;
  • the return shipping cost back to us.

If your order included Free Shipping, the actual shipping cost paid by Derich Gallery to deliver the artwork will be deducted from your refund.

If you paid for shipping separately at checkout, the original shipping charge is non-refundable.

The remaining eligible amount will be refunded after the artwork is returned and inspected.

These shipping-cost terms apply only to change-of-mind returns for standard artworks priced at $900 or more.

For standard artworks priced under $900, our regular 30-day return policy applies, and the special shipping-cost terms in this section do not apply.

3. Custom, Personalized & Commissioned Artwork

Custom, personalized, and commissioned artworks are final sale and are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.

These pieces are created specifically for an individual customer based on requested specifications such as:

  • design;
  • size;
  • objects or materials;
  • colors;
  • layout;
  • text or personalization;
  • other custom requests.

Because a custom artwork is individually created for a specific customer and may not be suitable for resale to another collector, we cannot accept a return simply because the customer later changes their mind, changes their décor, or decides they no longer want the piece.

However, custom orders are still protected if there is a genuine problem.

If a custom artwork:

  • arrives damaged;
  • has a defect;
  • is incorrect because of an error on our side;
  • is materially different from the approved order specifications;

please contact us.

We will review the situation and arrange a replacement, correction, repair, refund when appropriate, or another reasonable resolution at no additional cost to you.

Custom artwork is final sale only for preference-based or change-of-mind returns — not for genuine damage, defects, or mistakes on our side.

4. Carefully Packed for Safe Delivery

Our artworks come in different sizes, weights, and constructions, so the packaging method is selected based on the specific piece being shipped.

Different artwork sizes and shipping boxes may require different combinations of protective materials.

Depending on the artwork, packaging may include:

  • protective wrapping;
  • cushioning materials;
  • foam protection;
  • corner protection;
  • rigid reinforcement;
  • heavy-duty shipping boxes;
  • additional protective materials when needed.

Larger or heavier artworks may require additional reinforcement because of their dimensions, weight, glass, or three-dimensional construction.

Our goal is to use the most appropriate packaging method for the specific size and construction of each shipment.

Because these are real physical artworks made with three-dimensional objects — not ordinary flat prints — we take packaging and preparation for shipment seriously.

Every artwork is inspected before leaving our studio.

5. Damaged or Broken Artwork

If your artwork arrives damaged, cracked, broken, or defective, please contact us as soon as possible.

Please provide:

  • your order number;
  • clear photos of the artwork;
  • photos of the damaged area;
  • photos of the shipping packaging.

Once we review and confirm the issue, we will arrange a replacement or another appropriate resolution at no additional cost to you.

Depending on the circumstances, the resolution may include:

  • replacement;
  • repair;
  • correction;
  • refund;
  • another reasonable solution agreed upon with you.

If the damaged artwork needs to be returned, we will provide return instructions and, when applicable, a prepaid return label or another appropriate return method.

You will not be charged for damage that occurred before or during delivery and is confirmed as a shipping-related issue.

6. Incorrect Item or Order Error

If we send you the wrong artwork or make an error with your order, please contact us.

Provide your order number and photos of the item received.

We will review the situation and arrange the appropriate:

  • replacement;
  • correction;
  • repair;
  • refund when appropriate;
  • or another reasonable resolution.

Necessary shipping costs resulting from an error on our side will be covered by Derich Gallery.

7. Refunds

Once an approved return is delivered back to us and inspected, refunds are normally issued within 5–7 business days.

Refunds are sent to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Depending on your bank, credit card company, or payment provider, additional processing time may be required before the funds appear in your account.

For eligible change-of-mind returns of artworks priced at $900 or more, applicable shipping costs may be deducted according to Section 2 above.

8. Return Packaging

Because our artworks may contain glass and real three-dimensional objects, proper return packaging is important.

Whenever possible, please keep and reuse the original packaging.

The artwork must be securely protected during return shipment.

If an artwork is damaged during a customer-initiated return because it was improperly or insufficiently packaged, this may affect the refund amount.

If you are unsure how to package your return, contact us before shipping it.

We’ll provide recommendations to help you prepare it properly.

9. Packages Marked “Delivered” but Not Received

If tracking shows that your package was Delivered, but you cannot locate it, please contact the shipping carrier as soon as possible.

We also recommend checking:

  • around the delivery location;
  • with other members of your household;
  • with neighbors;
  • with a front desk, reception, concierge, or building management when applicable;
  • any alternate delivery location shown in the tracking information.

The carrier may have additional delivery information available, including a delivery scan, delivery photo, location details, or driver notes.

You may also contact us.

We will provide any shipment details, tracking information, and other documentation reasonably available to us and help guide you through the carrier investigation process.

However, when the carrier’s tracking system confirms that a package was delivered to the shipping address provided at checkout, a refund or replacement is not automatically issued solely because the package cannot later be located.

We may require the shipping carrier to investigate and confirm the delivery status before determining the appropriate resolution.

Each case will be reviewed individually based on:

  • tracking information;
  • carrier investigation results;
  • delivery records;
  • available delivery evidence;
  • other relevant information.

If the carrier confirms that the shipment was lost, misdelivered, or otherwise not properly delivered, we will review the situation with you and determine the appropriate next step.

This process helps us resolve legitimate delivery problems while protecting both our customers and our business from inaccurate or fraudulent claims.

10. International Orders & Customs

International customers are responsible for confirming that the artwork they purchase can legally be imported into their country.

Some artworks may contain replica objects, currency, or other physical items that may be subject to local import or customs restrictions.

Customs regulations vary by country, and Derich Gallery cannot guarantee customs clearance outside the United States.

If an international shipment is rejected by customs and returned to us, the eligible item price will be refunded after the artwork has been returned and inspected.

The following are non-refundable:

  • original shipping costs;
  • return shipping costs;
  • customs fees;
  • duties;
  • taxes;
  • brokerage fees;
  • other import-related expenses.

Derich Gallery is not responsible for losses resulting from a customer’s failure to comply with the import laws or regulations of their country.

11. Order Cancellations

Need to cancel your order?

Contact us as soon as possible at info@derichgallery.com.

If production has not yet started and the order has not shipped, we will do our best to cancel it.

If production has already started or the artwork has shipped, standard non-custom artwork may still be eligible for return under our 30-Day Return Policy after delivery.

Because custom, personalized, and commissioned artworks are created specifically for the customer, cancellation may no longer be possible once production has begun.
